TITUSVILLE, Fla. – The Coast Guard rescued two people Saturday near Mosquito Lagoon after their boat ran aground. Rescued were Dawn MaCain, 32, and James MaCain, 33, from Brevard County.

The couple were rescued by a Coast Guard rescue boat crew from Station Cape Canaveral, Fla., and transferred to EMS where they were taken to Parish Medical Center in Titusville for treatment.

The Coast Guard reminds all boaters to take extra precaution during the unusually cold temperatures. Boaters run the risk of hypothermia in as little as one hour with water temperatures in between 50 and 60 degrees.
