Latti Associates LLC has been a proud sponsor of the New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center for many years. Like cultural organizations around the world, the Center was forced to close to the public for nearly four months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the support of generous donors, the New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center has weathered the storm and has continued its work to preserve history, educate the public, and honor those who have spent their lives bringing seafood from ocean to plate.

In 2021, the Center will have a brand-new, permanent exhibit, More than a Job: Work and Community in New Bedford’s Commercial Fishing Industry. The new exhibit will include a replica working deck, scallop dredge, galley table, bunks, historic images and footage, and more than sixty audio clips sharing the many voices of the fishing community.
The center will also have a program focusing on the many roles women play in the fishing community. If you are looking at last-minute, holiday gifts, the Center has a great gift shop or you can purchase the “Bounty of the SouthCoast” Coupon & Recipe Booklet, available while supplies last. The book contains discount coupons to 27 local restaurants and seafood markets, along with recipes from area chefs and fishing families – a tremendous value for $35!
